Personalised Pumpkin Tutorial

Hello Pumpkin!

I think I speak for everyone when I say 2020 has been scary enough already, so this pumpkin season let’s go pretty instead. Seems like every online magazine is talking about “decorating for autumn” - which I had no idea was a thing, but I’m sure we’re all bored of our quarantine houses and ready to add something new! So with that in mind I thought a personalised pumpkin would be perfect as a table centrepiece, on the mantlepiece or at your front door. Here’s the (extremely easy) tutorial for you!

What you’ll need:

  • Pumpkin obv

  • Leftover paint from decorating or buy some acrylic paint

  • Gold paint marker - I recommend this one or if you want to use silver this one

  • Pencil for sketching your design

  • White paint marker - I like Posca and Edding markers.

AND YOU’RE DONE! CONGRATS! You can even put a design on the opposite side and flip between the two for double decor opportunities.

Apparently these will last UP TO 3 MONTHS because they’ve not been carved open?! So this’ll basically see you until our “Winter Decor” tutorial. Tag me on Insta if you try it, can’t wait to see your designs.

If you love this but you’d just rather be drinking wine than painting a vegetable, you can commission one too - ideally if you live in Edinburgh as Pumpkins might be hard to post. Send me a message through my contact form below or on Insta. Bye dolls! x
